Liza Purtzer
Liza's intention is to share her love of movement to cultivate self-love and connection
Liza Purtzer
Liza has come from the competitive world of dance, and discovered that the benefits of yoga extended far beyond the her expectations of what she might physically experience on the yoga mat, helping her to heal mental and physical blockages in her life.
“Through yoga asana practice, I love to explore rhythmic and intentional movement to cultivate self-love and connection. Staying true to the practice, I’m always aiming for presence rather than perfection.”
Maria Uribe
Maria ‘s classes are fluid – a connection between breath and movement; and energising – a combination of strength and balance.
Maria Uribe
Maria found yoga six years ago in her search for inner peace, purpose and something deeper. She became a Yoga Teacher in India and completed further studies with Nicole Walsh, Rod Galbraith, Mark Breadner and Shiva Rea.
Maria’s intention as a teacher is to share the power of the practice and to create space for people to discover the joy that resides in each of us. Maria ‘s classes are fluid – a connection between breath and movement; and energising – a combination of strength and balance. She seeks to incorporate the balance between traditional and modern yoga – you can expect pranayama and meditation in her classes.
Her teaching embodies her love for spirituality and movement, inviting everyone to clear their body and mind of static energy and experience the healing power of the practice.
Melanie Manuel
Melanie loves the multi-dimensional aspects of yoga and the way it can heal, restore and re-energise - both mentally and physically.
Melanie Manuel
Melanie first discovered the healing powers of yoga in 2012 while living in Jakarta, Indonesia. Trying to find an escape from the chaos of a big city, she stumbled across her first yoga class in the tranquil home of her first yoga teacher, Dini Maharani. Melanie discovered a positive way to move her body and calm her mind. From then on she was hooked, and she brought her yoga practice back home to Sydney.
In 2018 Melanie completed her 200hr Teacher Training with Nicole Walsh and Rod Galbraith. She then continued her studies and went on to complete her 350hr training and yin training.
Melanie loves the multi-dimensional aspects of yoga and the way it can heal, restore and re-energise - both mentally and physically. Her classes focus on alignment and the deep connection to breath and she is excited to share her love and passion for yoga with others.
Sarah Hill
Sarah has an embodied and intuitive teaching style that motivates her students to move fluidly and breathe slowly, to laugh when they can, and to pay attention to the subtle shifts in their energy.
Sarah Hill
Incorporating mudra, mantra, and sacred chants, Sarah’s deep respect for the yogic traditions is delivered with balanced sequencing and a light hearted approach.
Sarah’s first introduction to yoga was through teachings of Yogi Bhajan’s powerful Kundalini Kriya and breathwork to combat grief and anxiety. Feeling unstable before that point, the transformation she felt through her practice sparked a deep inner journey, which she believes is the true essence of yoga.
After 7 years of yoga practice and 15 years of classical and contemporary dance, Sarah dove into teacher training with Nicole and Rod at InYoga in 2016 to discover how to share the healing that she explored through her own personal experiences.
Her foundational knowledge was developed by a lengthy period in India studying Hatha yoga, Tantra, Contact Dance and authentic movement practices. Adding further depth with Mel McLaughlin’s Yin training in 2017, and exploring her vocal range with Carmella Baynie, Sarah has completed over 500 hours of immersive teacher training.
With an embodied and intuitive teaching style, Sarah motivates her students to move fluidly, and breathe slowly, to laugh when they can, and to pay attention to the subtle shift in energies. Sarah believes that every movement you make can be a spiritual practice.
Her favourite Asana? Savasana! Allow yourself to let go of deep seated tension, rest in stillness, and explore your true self.
