We believe yoga is a practice to be lived, and we look forward to sharing the practices we love, along with life enhancements and inspiration so that you can delve a little deeper into the transformative power of yoga.
Yoga is not confined to the four corners of a yoga mat, but rather is a way of life, a path to greater awareness, connection and fulfillment in every moment. We hold a vision for this online magazine to share this journey with you, to nurture connections and to be a resource for you to return to for inspiration and guidance.
Our trio of visionaries for this e-magazine are InYoga co-owners Nicole Walsh and Rod Galbraith, and InYoga Community Manager Liza Purtzer.
Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge and boundless dedication to sharing the wisdom of yoga, drawn from her 23+ years as one of Australia’s most respected innovators in the yoga landscape. Her love for writing, and sharing her knowledge of the holistic wellbeing sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga, infuses a nurturing spirit into every aspect of this magazine, providing you with insights and guidance to enrich your practice and elevate your life.
Rod shares from his profound personal journey from the high-octane world of events to the serene realms of yoga and meditation. He brings a unique perspective, offering invaluable teachings on cultivating a meditative mind amidst life’s myriad challenges. Sharing from the heart is Rod’s super-power. His passion for empowering others to discover the transformative benefits of meditation shines through in every word, inviting you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner exploration.
Liza’s inspiration is drawn from her background in the competitive world of dance, entwined with her love of nature and the great outdoors. She infuses our magazine with a refreshing blend of enthusiasm, discipline, grace and down-to-earth realness. Her innate ability to foster connection and community spirit, ensures that everyone feels welcomed, supported and inspired on their journey of self-discovery.

Liza has come from the competitive world of dance, and discovered that the benefits of yoga extended far beyond the her expectations of what she might physically experience on the yoga mat, helping her to heal mental and physical blockages in her life.

Nicole Walsh
Nicole blends a wealth of knowledge with 20 years of teaching experience, and infuses traditional yoga practices with music, meditation and some fun and play thrown in for good measure.
Nicole Walsh has been a driving force in the Sydney yoga community since she opened the doors of her first yoga studio in 2002. Over her 20 year teaching career, she has become one of Sydney’s most respected teachers.
Passionate about sharing the teaching journey with others, Nicole has been training and mentoring yoga teachers since 2006, instilling a heart-centered approach to teaching in all her trainees. Nicole guides her students via an embodied experience of yoga and meditation, translating yogic wisdom into practical skills for living, so that they may thrive in modern life. She is eternally grateful to her teachers Shiva Rea, Lorin Roche and Camille Maurine for their ongoing wisdom and support.
Nicole’s weekly classes offer an uplifting and progressive approach to Vinyasa Flow Yoga, infusing a dynamic combination of breath-inspired movement and creative, yet balanced and intelligent sequencing, with real-life down-to-earth wisdom. Nicole is a regular contributor to Australian Yoga Journal magazine, and her writing has also been featured in Wellbeing, UltraFit and Women’s Health Magazines. Nicole has taught at yoga events such as Wanderlust, Ignite Yoga Summit, Byron Spirit Festival, Sydney Spirit Retreat, Sydney Yoga Conference and Sydney Festival. She leads workshops, retreats and teacher trainings in Australia and overseas.
Rod Galbraith
A passionate teacher of meditation, Rod Galbraith’s greatest love lies in sharing the wonder and delight of the subtle practices of yoga.
Rod Galbraith is co-founder of InYoga, created to provide premium yoga education, dedicated to translating the wisdom of yoga and meditation in an accessible format for modern people.
As a yoga meditation teacher and educator, Rod has developed a holistic process for guiding instinctive meditation that acknowledges the interrelated nature of wellbeing and wisdom of the body/mind, by honouring the coherence of the physical body, nervous system, thoughts, emotions and sense of self.
Rod has devoted himself to studying the subtle arts of yoga, and sharing this empowering knowledge with others. Rod is an authorised teacher with global innovators in meditation Lorin Roche PhD and Camille Maurine, and dedicated student of global movement alchemist and yogini Shiva Rea. Rod weaves knowledge of the science of yoga with experience from his own dedicated personal practice, artfully sharing this knowledge through classes, workshops, yoga teacher trainings and as a contributing writer to Yoga Journal Australia.
